Congratulations on being selected to be apart of the Canberra Netball Association Junior Representative Program. Please read the below information regarding the season and other relevant information.

Players must compete in the NCNC Winter Competition on Saturdays to be eligible for the CNA Junior Representative program. CNA is happy to grant exemptions for those with compelling reasons – please email the Junior Rep Convenor if this applies to you.
Players are expected to attend training, regardless of injury (coaches will modify exercised for injured players so they can still participate in the session).
If you are unable to attend any training sessions, please call your team coach prior to the commencement of training so that they know where you are and have time to adjust their session plans. Please do not attend training if you are feeling unwell.
What happens if a player is injured at training or a carnival: the coach and first aid officers will assess the injury and contact the emergency if necessary. To access the CNA insurance policy, the player will be provided with an injury report form to complete.
What happens if a player is injured outside of training or a carnival: please contact your coach asap to let them know. For serious injuries, CNA recommends Powerhouse Physio for assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.
Carnivals are compulsory for all players, and generally run from 8:00AM – 4:00PM on Sundays.
CNA books buses for interstate carnivals at no extra cost to athletes, coaches and umpires. The departure time is usually 5:00AM from CNA, returning at approximately 6:00PM. Depending on the destination, Yass, Murrumbateman and Sutton pickups are also available. CNA strongly recommends that player take the bus as it assists with team bonding and carnival preparation. If you are unable to catch the bus due to other arrangements please discuss this with your team manager or coach before the carnival.
Nutrition: it’s important to eat well and stay hydrated before, during and after a carnival! This Nutrition Guide and Recovery Sheet is available for all athletes to download.
This is the whole reason we compete! The Junior Championships are the pinnacle of the representative season, where teams from each of the five ACT District Associations come together to compete over a three-day competition played at Netball ACT and the CNA outdoor courts.
Junior Rep fees cover carnival entry fees and equipment, coaching resources and training equipment, specialist training sessions, team photos, bus hire, and the end of season presentation night.
The fees for the 2021 junior rep season are as follows:
U11-U15 – $305
U17 – $325
New players will receive the following CNA items:

CNA uses TeamApp, Facebook, Instagram, email and our website to communicate with our junior representative players and parents.

For returning players, please ensure your membership is up to date with the relevant teams that you are associated with once the teams are announced.
Photos: CNA uses photographs from the season for Facebook, Instagram, promotional material and the end of season presentation night. We encourage parents and supporters to share their photos with CNA if they wish to do so.
Recordings: CNA coaches may record training sessions and games on their device for coaching and video analysis purposes. Coaches will always tell parents when this is happening.
Team photos: Team photos will be taken at the CNA courts and distributed at the end of season presentation night.
Each year CNA holds an event to celebrate the Representative Season and team and individual achievements. All players are encouraged to attend, and family members are most welcome.

The appropriate and responsible use of all social media platforms such as Instagram, SnapChat, Facebook and TikTok offers our players, teams and supporters the opportunity to connect and share our netball experiences.
